Your backup is encrypted with AES, and the key to that encryption is your password. This means that on its own, your backup does not reveal any crucial information to a third party, and they will not be able to use it to access your funds.
However, if somebody were to get a hold of both your password and your backup, that would be extremely dangerous. They would be able to access your Guarda wallet and gain full control of your funds and assets. If you suspect that your Guarda wallet’s security may have been compromised, change your password immediately.
It’s extremely important to ensure that not only do you keep your backup and password in highly secure places inaccessible to strangers, but also that you keep them separately.
